Building a schedule

Create shifts that connect employees, clients, sites, times, templates, and departments.

Schedules define planned work. A clean schedule makes attendance matching, timesheet review, and reporting easier.

Before you start

  • Add the client and site.
  • Configure useful site templates and departments.
  • Add employees who can work the shift.

Steps

  1. Open Schedule.
  2. Select the date and client context for the work.
  3. Create a shift with the site, time range, and any template or department context.
  4. Assign one or more workers when the shift is ready.
  5. Save the shift.
  6. Review the schedule list with the date and status filters.

What good looks like

Each shift should have a clear date, time, client, site, status, and assignment state.

Common mistakes

  • Building shifts against the wrong client or site.
  • Leaving recurring work as manual one-off entries without templates.
  • Assigning employees before confirming the shift date and time.
