Can employees clock out from the job site too?

Yes. BetterDesks supports clock-out on the active timesheet, and geofence rules apply to clock-out when geofencing is enabled. OTP creates the attendance start; kiosk and offline clock-out are not current features.

Detailed answer

When an employee clocks in, BetterDesks creates an active timesheet. When they clock out, the system updates that active timesheet, records the clock-out time, calculates raw worked minutes, rounded worked minutes, break minutes, payable minutes, and hours worked, then moves the record into submitted status.

If geofencing is enabled, BetterDesks checks the employee's location against the site's configured coordinates and radius for clock-out as well as clock-in.

If an employee forgets to clock out, an admin or scheduler can close the active timesheet with an estimated clock-out time for review.

Example

A guard clocks in at a client site and later clocks out from the same site. BetterDesks calculates payable time from the actual clock-in and clock-out values. If the guard forgets to clock out, the manager closes the missed clock-out and reviews the record before approval.
